Exploring the Good – the impact made through January 2021

Today we are celebrating RandomActsofKindnessDay – with the focus to ‘Explore the Good’ and ‘Make Kindness the Norm’.

Covid-19 has showcased a year of fear and uncertainty; however, here at BLGC, we have received a vast increase in support from the local community since the pandemic struck, particularly towards our Emergency lock-down appeal.

We have seen so much kindness brought to our doors, especially in the times of crisis, our Patrons, Supporters, Volunteers and Staff members have all come together at a time when it’s needed the most.

Karen Edwards OBE, CEO of Bolton Lads & Girls Club said:

“We are so grateful to all of those who continue to support our efforts in helping our young people and families at a time when they need it the most.

The sense of community and the desire to help we have received from our Patrons, supporters and individuals in the community, has been overwhelming. In Bolton we are proud, and we want to help one another, that has been more than evident in the level of support we have received.

Thank you to every single person who has helped, as without all the generosity we have received, we wouldn’t be able to provide the emergency food, essential items and support that we have been able to so far to our families in crisis.”
