Mentoring Service

One-to-one support for  young people to build a trusting relationship to support them through difficult periods and build their self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience.

Aspirations Mentoring for Children in Care and Care Leavers

Young people have often missed out on education prior to them becoming Looked After. We focus on supporting them to identify their aims for their future and encourage their engagement with education.

Young Carers Service

We provide advice, guidance and support to young carers, under 18-year-olds who regularly provide emotional and/or practical support and assistance for a family member who is disabled, physically or mentally unwell or who misuses substances.

Independent Visitor Service

An Independent Visitor (IV) gives a child in care an opportunity create positive memories of childhood. They meet the young person they are matched with every two or three weeks to do activities that enrich their personal and cultural development. 

Bolton Bereavement Service

The service is for young people and their families who have experienced bereavement and need extra support. It is set up within the iThrive framework to ensure young people get the right support at the right time and offers different levels of support depending on need.

Family Assist Service

Family Assist provides short term help and support to families who are struggling. Our worker will draw up an action plan of targeted support and assistance with parents or carers to improve their family situation.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

One-to-one therapeutic support to young people age 11-18 years old to improve their mental health and well-being.

Teams Around the School

Teams around the School is a multi-disciplinary team approach providing support to children, young people and families in participating primary and secondary schools at an Early Help level to improve emotional health and wellbeing.

On Track Employability

On Track is BLGCs one-to-one employability support for young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or those who are at risk of being NEET.
