+ IT'S A PROJECT!

Our project nights are open to ages 8-19 (and up to 21 with a Special Educational Need or Disability) and offer a range of exciting activities that cater to different interests and talents. From health and wellness to creative arts, sports, music, and employability, there is something for everyone here. Our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space where young people can come together, make friends and engage in activities that promote positive well-being, build confidence and develop essential life skills. Our team of experienced and friendly youth workers are passionate about working with young people and creating a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and development. Come and join us for an evening of fun and learning – we can’t wait to see you there!

Senior Project sessions are for ages 8-12 and must be pre-booked

Money, Money, Money! 4-5pm

Money Money Money- we all need to know about money and understanding how to look after it and make it work for us. Become a money hero and get to grips with all things about money.

Learn, connect and grow.

Come join us for our 8 week project and learn more about yourself, how to connect with others and support our community. Activities will include learning new skills in yoga, developing our “green fingers” for our club and connecting in our local community by doing a good deed.

Get your voice heard! 5-6pm

Youth Voice is a young person-centered group discussing themes and issues in which affect them & their worlds, and to plan to make CHANGE. Young people have a right to share their voice AND be heard, the BLGC Youth Voice group will enable young people to share their voice in a safe space – Ran by young people, for young people

Get Fit for Life! 4-5pm

This action-packed project is designed to provide you with an opportunity to stay active and learn new skills Our experienced team will lead a variety of activities, with a focus on building fitness, and self-esteem. Sign up today to get started on your journey towards fitness and fun!

The football development project uses a combination of skills training and small-sided games to develop basic skills and tactical awareness. Football project sessions include professional coaching training, coaching skills, skills development and testing, sports psychology workshops and support.

It’s the Climb! 4-5pm

The climbing project is designed to give our members the opportunity to learn the skills associated with indoor climbing. The climbing sessions aim to help young participants acquire skills and progress in this new Olympic sport in a safe and fun environment.

Lifestyle Apparel & Business Startups 7-8pm

Looking at how best to start up a business and what it takes to succeed, looking at business plans, social media influence, the power of photography in advertising. Primarily around Lifestyle Apparel, but applicable to most business ventures.

Preparing to Work 6-7pm 

Everything you’ll need to prepare to work! Covering CV Building, Job Interview Skills, Money Management & building up your social skills. Compacted to 8 sessions over 8 weeks. Time to earn a living!

BE A RADIO PRESENTER AT BLGC! SONGS, LINKS AND BELTING BEATS, LEARN NEW SKILLS IN A 1-2-3 6-7pm

Want to radio present on Infinity Beats? Want to learn what’s it like to have your voice heard across the world? Want to select your favourite songs and link them like a pro, learning what’s it’s like to broadcast your tunes to an audience, developing skills you can take with you? 

TALK ABOUT THINGS IN A BRAND NEW WAY, LEARN TO PODCAST EVERY MONDAY, FUN AND ENGAGING EVERY WEEK, HELPING YOU TO DEVELOP AND FIND YOUR FEET 7-8pm

Want to learn how to start a podcast about something you Love and enjoy? Would you like to understand the process better? Do you want to learn production and presentation skills that will allow you to create something to be broadcasted live on Radio, built by you and your friends and fellow members. 

Health, Mind, You… They ALL matter. 6-7pm

An 8 week project of creative writing, personal development, goal-setting and wellness topics such as stress, healthy relationships and gratitude.

Young Policy Makers is a programme delivered by RECLAIM, supporting Working Class young people to step into their power and make change at both a local and national level. Get involved to have your say and campaign on the topics that matter the most to you and your communities. 

Unlock your potential and embrace the power of fitness! 5-6pm (Every other week)

Join the gym project night to ignite your passion for a healthy lifestyle. Sculpt your body, boost your confidence, and discover the strength within you. The gym project includes sessions such as introduction to fitness, cardiovascular training, core body strength, body weight training, police fitness testing, circuits training, fitness challenges, cross-fit, and female only sessions

Part A 5-6pm – Part B 6-7pm

Our basketball development programme is designed to nurture and develop the sporting talents of aspiring young players. Our aim is to develop well-rounded athletes in terms of skills, fitness, experience, knowledge and understanding of the game of basketball. As a young player on the BLGC basketball development project you will have access to the following:

  • Professional coaching training sessions
  • Strength & conditioning development sessions
  • Sport psychology workshops and support
  • Nutrition & healthy athlete recipes
  • Performance analysis sessions5
