Safe Zones

We offer a step-down brief intervention service to young people who have experienced a mental health crisis. We are part of the Greater Manchester Mental Health Crisis Care Pathway and only accept referrals from All Age Mental Health Liaison, Rapid Response Team and CAMHS. We provide 1-1 sessions on coping strategies and agreed goal-based outcomes within a 4-week time period. Sessions offered in our Safe Zone or if needed at schools or college or over the phone/ video calls.

Up to 18 years old referral can only be made through Rapid Response Team, All Age Mental Health Services and CAMHS with young people from Bolton and Wigan.

Safe Zones are for young people aged 13-18. They also support parents and carers to help their child with their mental health.

  • Sessions tailor-made to individual needs of the young person
  • A solution-focused approach
  • Practical sessions to get to know the young person
  • Youth work approach using activities to encourage talking
